The BBC programme ‘Country Tracks’, presented by Ben Fogle, is featuring Peter and Ben crossing the River Severn in a coracle. The series will share its’ sister programme ‘Countryfile's’ classic moments and also discover the best places to visit right now and show how to really enjoy the great outdoors.
Ben Fogle (Countryfile, Animal Park) delves into classic archive Countryfile footage from the last 20 years which determines the route of the journey bringing past and present together. Each week Ben will visit different parts of the British Isles and each leg of the journey is influenced by the chosen archive footage. Bringing the past and present together means each destination is fully explored.
Country Tracks is a BBC Birmingham production for BBC One.
For BBC2, Darlow Smithson Film Company are producing another series of Engineering Connections. Hosted by Richard Hammond, one episode will feature a clip about Peter demonstrating cleaving timber, showing that it becomes more flexible without losing strength.

A series entitled ‘Country Lives’, produced by Eye Film and TV for ITV, has a cameo appearance by Peter Faulkner. The series, presented by Chris Beardshaw (the Flying Gardener) and Mirander Krestovnikoff (Coast), tours the regions meeting people from all walks of life who share a passion for the countryside.
Kingfisher Television Productions with Tony Francis created the series ‘Heart of the Country’. An episode featured the Leintwardine Coracle Regatta and Peter Faulkner.

In the December/January 2000 issue a 3–page feature was published in Gardens Illustrated magazine on Peter and his work.

In 1997 Peter Appeared in the Country Life book entitled Living National Treasures. The book is a collection of articles from a series which appeared in Country Life magazine celebrating a range of specialist crafts practised all over the country. The term ‘Living National Treasure’ is a term actively used in Japan where an honours list is published annually of those practising traditional arts and crafts, and as a way of supporting and maintaining their cultural history.
